Starting in Lilienfeld, home to the venerable Lilienfeld Monastery, the trail leads you through charming villages like Stangental and Schrambach, where you’ll encounter the picturesque Stangental Church and the intriguing Schrambach Castle Ruins. As you continue toward Freiland, don’t miss the Freiland Open-Air Museum, a living testament to rural history.
Lehenrotte awaits with its serene chapel dedicated to St. Florian, and if you’re feeling adventurous, explore the Turnitzer Bahnradweg cycling trail. Finally, ascend to Annaberg, known as the “Holy Mountain.” Here, the Annaberg Basilica, with its Baroque splendor, and the Annaberg Pilgrimage Museum beckon.
