From Nové Město na Moravě, which is known as a venue for world-class sporting events, we cross the Žďárské vrchy Protected Landscape Area and arrive in Bystřice nad Pernštejnem.

Altitude: ascent 431 m, descent 503 m

Surface: mainly forest and dirt roads, paved roads

Critical points: Be very cautious in the section from Nové Město na Moravě, where the Cyril and Methodius Route runs for 2 kilometres along a 2nd class road with a higher vehicle frequency. This section is not signposted as far as the Nad Pohledcem signpost. This section is currently being re-signposted.

Our tip:

Take enough food and drink with you, as there are sections of the trail without the possibility of buying food during the journey.
