Scientific Committee
The Scientific Committee is an international, multidisciplinary body that brings together renowned experts from fields such as history, archaeology, culture, and tourism to oversee the professional standards and historical accuracy of the Cyril and Methodius Route. Its primary mission is to ensure that the development of the "Roots of Slavic Culture" theme is based on authentic scientific findings and that every stop along the way has a well-documented significance. Appointed by the General Assembly, committee members carefully vet new applicants wishing to join the association, conduct historical research, and help maintain the strict certification criteria of the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe program. Through their work, which includes organizing professional conferences and publishing scholarly papers, the Cyril and Methodius legacy is presented to the public in an engaging yet scientifically sound manner, connecting countries across Central, Eastern, and Southern Europe.
