These sections are serene and offer a cool respite, especially during warmer months. The path here is well-trodden and marked, making navigation straightforward. As you progress, you’ll encounter a few elevation changes. These inclines and declines add a bit of challenge to the hike but also provide stunning vantage points to appreciate the surrounding landscape. The trail is rich with diverse flora and fauna. Keep an eye out for various species of birds, small mammals, and a variety of wildflowers that add splashes of color to your hike. About halfway through, you’ll find a nice spot to take a break, perhaps near a small stream or a clearing with a view. This is a great place to rest, have a snack, and enjoy the tranquility of nature. As you near Smolenice, the trail gradually descends. The forest begins to thin out, and you’ll start to see more open fields and agricultural land. One of the highlights as you approach the end of your hike is the view of Smolenice Castle. This historic castle, with its impressive architecture, is a beautiful sight and a perfect end to your journey. The trail concludes in the town of Smolenice. Here, you can explore the town, visit the castle, or relax in one of the local cafes.
