Supraśl Orthodox Monastery

Journey to the heart of Slavic Orthodoxy at the Supraśl Orthodox Monastery, a breathtaking sanctuary nestled in the serene landscape of northeastern Poland. This historic monastery, a jewel of Polish religious architecture, stands as a powerful symbol of faith and culture, deeply intertwined with the legacy of Saints Cyril and Methodius.

While not directly founded by the brothers themselves, the Supraśl Monastery embodies the very essence of their mission. Cyril and Methodius, the apostles to the Slavs, gifted the Slavic world with a written language—Glagolitic—and opened access to scripture, laying the foundation for a shared cultural and spiritual identity. The monastery, established centuries later, stands as a testament to the enduring impact of their work. It became a vital center of Orthodox culture, preserving and promoting the traditions and values that Cyril and Methodius championed. Within its walls, the spirit of their mission lives on.
