Popular science lecture series on Glagolitic script
| |
In response to the recent proliferation of pseudoscientific publications concerning the Glagolitic alphabet, a collaborative initiative was launched in March 2025 by the Cyrillo-Methodian Research Centre at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and the Glagolytika Foundation. The lecture series, titled “Scientific and Theological Aspects in the Study of the Glagolitic Script”, explores Constantine-Cyril’s alphabet through the lens of semiotics. Following a concise overview of existing research on each of the 38 Glagolitic letters, the series offers a theological, philosophical, and cultural analysis of each character as a conceptogram - a symbolic representation articulating a specific tenet of Christian doctrine, as formulated in the Niceno-Constantinopolitan Creed. Hlavními přednášejícími jsou doc. dr. Taťjana Ilievová z Cyrilometodějského výzkumného centra a dr. Inna Dimitrovová z Univerzity knihovnických studií a informačních technologií v Sofii v Bulharsku. |

Successful inaugural edition of Cultural Routes Festival in Aquileia celebrates heritage and paths
| |
The first edition of the Cultural Routes Festival in Aquileia (Italy) concluded successfully after a vibrant three-day event held from April 4th to 6th, 2025. Organized by Fondazione Aquileia with the support of numerous institutional partners, the festival highlighted the rich cultural heritage and the significance of historical routes in the Aquileia region. The event, framed within the project “Aquileia with zero impact. The enhancement of the paths,” financed by national funds dedicated to UNESCO World Heritage sites, saw a diverse program of activities take place across the historical landscape of Aquileia. The official opening ceremony was held at the prestigious National Archaeological Museum of Aquileia, setting a fitting tone for a festival dedicated to exploration and discovery.
Moderovala ji uznávaná novinářka a spisovatelka Elena Commessatti, což dále obohatilo diskuzi.
The festival attracted a significant number of visitors who participated in guided walks, historical reenactments, and workshops. Fondazione Aquileia expressed its gratitude to all participants, partners, and the community for making the first edition of the Cultural Routes Festival a resounding success. The event underscored Aquileia’s commitment to preserving and promoting its unique heritage and its role as a crossroads of history and culture. |
